First thing first, Smart Cities are being developed by the Government of India, to enhance the overall standard of living of the masses. To meet that requirement,strategic investment is being made to ensure better civic amenities, smooth and hassle-free transportation, regular water and electricity supply to every household and industrial units.

Apart from this, measures are taken to make these Smart Cities, centres of job creation. However, all this is not possible without the ideas and vision of various stakeholders who are involved in every stage of planning and development of the Smart Cities Mission. With a view to provide a platform for a lively discussion on this urban development mission,a National Conference on “Sustainable Development of Smart Cities” is being organised on Sep 22-23, 2017 at India International Centre, Max Mueller Marg, New Delhi-110003.
