Despite so much investment in the production of electricity through various means, Indian cities still face a shortage of power throughout the year. Many reasons are cited for this inadequate supply of power to homes and industrial areas as well.To get rid of this situation,
Government of India has proposed many new-age reforms in its Smart Cities Mission. By installing equipment to record the real-time data of residential and industrial units, electrical consumption of these Smart Cities will be optimised. Implementation of green and clean energy based solutions and investments in no renewable sources of energy in the process is going to become a milestone in sustainable development of Smart Cities. Besides, there will be ‘Smart Grids’ that will ensure a smooth transfer of electricity throughout the city.
